Dr. J. Boyd Thayn

Dr. Boyd Thayn grew up in Carbon County. He attended college in Price and at BYU. He graduated from Colorado State University in 1976 and moved back to Price with his wife Mary to raise their family. They have five children and fourteen grandchildren. Until recently all 5 of his children have been living out of state. His oldest son, Jonathan lives in Illinois with his wife and four children. Katie lives in Moab with her husband Laird and their four children. David lives in Price with his wife Kara and their four children. Paul and his wife Bel live in Price with their two daughters. The youngest, Laura, lives in Washington DC and works at the International Trade Commission. Dr. Thayn and his wife are excited that 3 of the children have returned to the area and they spend as much time as possible with the grandchildren.


Dr. Tanisha Ford

Dr. Tanisha Ford hails from the warm desert of Southern Utah.
She was active in her local FFA and 4-H programs growing up,
and competed around much of the Western U.S. in rodeos and barrel racing.

Dr. Ford completed her undergraduate work at Southern Utah University,
receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a Zoology emphasis and Chemistry minor.
She completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the WSU-WLMU regional program in May of 2017;
completing two years of school at Utah State University and two years at Washington State University.

Dr. Ford enjoys all aspects of practicing veterinary medicine, though her passion lies with horses.
She has a strong interest in equine lameness and sports medicine, as well as small animal surgery and internal medicine.

Some of Dr. Ford’s hobbies include riding horses with family and friends, competing in barrel races and ranch sorting with her horse Squirt, playing volleyball or badminton, camping and reading a good book.
